Australia IS Refugees Magazine

In 2002, the organisation Australians Against Racism held an Australia-wide schools competition for year 6 and 7 students, and year 10, 11 and 12 students. The theme explored the lives and experiences of refugees as a step towards healing the cultural rift created by the asylum seeker debate.

While working at Hardie Grant Publishing, I had the privilege of designing this magazine with the challenging proviso of being able to use only one colour. To create interest I laid out some rather daring and unconventional typography.
