A Gift From Morpheus
You know those dreams you have when you nod off for just a few moments? They’re short, but pungent. Mine are often lurid, strange – I am suddenly plunged into another world. Without so much as first dipping a toe in the water, I am completely submerged. It’s like an exciting adventure, bringing new meaning to the term ‘armchair travel’.
I had one of these lightning-quick dreams last week, and when I dragged myself out of sleep, these words were running through my mind: A dark secret is only known to two. I noted them immediately.
Aren’t those words mysterious? I have no notion what they mean; I remember nothing else of the dream. Just as well I wrote that phrase down or it too would have vanished into oblivion.
I love how a great dream will suddenly spark ideas. It’s like someone gifted me a brilliant concept, and the loveliest realisation is that I am not plagiarising anyone else because the idea came out of my own head without having to do any work for it!
