Egg

Egg was a surrealistic Melbourne Theatre Company play staged particularly for children, and was promoted as an eco-adventure full of hope and the promise of renewal. Through its clowning and puppetry, it still conveyed its serious environmental message palatably for children.

Campaign image

It was a lot of fun coming up with the concept of this surrealistic campaign image. The story is set on another dystopian world. Adding the fantastical elements – the sky and fireflies – in post-production was an enjoyable process.

Theatre foyer poster

A casual handwritten font and stock illustration (purchased rather than created, purely for expediency) further enhance the family appeal of the campaign.

DL flyer

Mailed out to prospective audiences, including educational institutions, and distributed at other venues.

Promotional letter and envelope

In addition to the modest suite of collateral produced for a play geared for family audiences, Egg’s sponsorship by Sharing the Light foundation (an initiative to make theatre more affordable for audiences that would not ordinarily attend) was an opportunity to extend the brand into a promotional letter with matching envelope.
